Sometimes it’s hard.
So hard.
Life, I mean.
It can be hard to keep your heart soft, to keep your temper in check, to always have a gentle touch.
I am highly sensitive to the emotions in a space… in a room… in the world… and there are moments when I just want to crawl back under the covers and stay there. To remove myself from all the swirling intensities that people put out into the world.
But I don’t.
I show up. I try to understand. I help where I can. And I work really hard at maintaining my boundaries. It’s not always easy, but I have to believe that it’s worth it.
If you needed to read these words, know that the world truly does need your light.
Keep showing up.
Keep smiling.
Brighter days are surely ahead.

I hear ‘ya. I’m highly sensitive, too. I feel like I am constantly being tested from all angles in my life. It’s like finals week in college, and I have to keep going to get the darned semester over with so I can rest for a while.

Good morning dear! Life is hard, and lately I have found my patience levels are at practically zero. At least at work. I think I am suffering from severe burnout – since June, work has been horrendous. Depending on what happens with my current project, I may request a leave of absence for a few months. I need to go back to working on keeping my heart soft!!! Thank you for this. Have a wonderful day.
