Spring has arrived!
I’m so excited that spring has finally arrived in Virginia.
You may recall from this post that my word of the year for 2019 is “bloom”, so this quote is also a reminder to myself of the goal that I had for myself this year.
This quote reminds me of the saying that when the pain of remaining the same surpasses the pain of change, then you will be ready to change.
I’m working behind the scenes on new content and layout and am looking forward to sharing that with all of you!
At the same time, spring also means that Miss Sunshine is busy with JV soccer season, Mr. D has his Senior Prom looming and graduation shortly behind that, and I am the mom coordinating all the things that go along with those busy times.

It’s an appropriate quote for this time of year. We are well behind you in the season, but the sunshine and the above-freezing temperatures have been very welcomed. I’m particularly excited this spring because in 2 weeks we are leaving for northern France for 16 days. With our son’s wedding last year we didn’t take a trip, so we are now overdue!
The above-freezing temps are SOOOO welcomed!! Our weather is still up and down with days still a little colder than my liking, but I’ve been able to break out short sleeves and sandals a few time so that was a huge win! Northern France sounds absolutely wonderful! In two weeks I will be heading down to Florida with two of the teens for their spring break. I am very much looking forward to the sunshine and salt air. 🙂
Great quote for the beginning of Spring. You are a wise lady, Amy. I do recognize that you juggle many roles and you are constantly prioritizing your time and energy. It all creates a butterfly effect. Bloom is a perfect word for 2019!
Thank you so much Erica!! I feel like I will hit my stride soon with the juggling act (fingers crossed). My husband going back to work changed responsibility dynamics so figuring out the schedule that works best for me is still being tested. 🙂 I love envisioning “bloom”. It helps me to continue to grow. 🙂

Thank you Mackenzie! I’m glad that you liked the quote. I’ve always thought it such a great one. Spring always seems to be a busy time for me. Not only am I finally able to come out of hibernation, but my kids schedules always pick up too. lol. Isn’t “bloom” just a great word? I really hope to feel like I do just that this year. xx

I’m so sorry that you are having a hard spring Joey. I know there are a lot of sayings about it getting better on the other side. But I also know that doesn’t make it any easier as you are journeying through it. I have the same wish as you that as the sun grows stronger your sense of happiness will as well. 🙂

This reminds me of a quote, “Bloom where you are planted”. No matter where we find ourselves or what the circumstances, we always have a choice: we can either remain stagnant or we can choose to find a way to prosper.
I love that quote too! I’m not always great at that one, but it really is a choice that we can make.
