Blue Ridge Parkway – Mabry Mill

The Elephant House – Edinburgh Scotland

The Elephant House. If you are a Harry Potter fan, then it's likely that you've heard about The Elephant House. Touted as "The Birthplace of Harry Potter", it is said that J.K. Rowling penned some of her works here.   Edinburgh. Here's my disclaimer. Prior to planning a trip to Scotland, I'd never watched all [...]

Behind the Lens – This is 40

September 12, 2017January 26, 2021by Bedlam & Daisies26 Comments on Behind the Lens – This is 40

September 12, 1977. 2:41 p.m. Naples Community Hospital, Naples, Florida, USA. That would be the moment when I would make my grand entrance into this world. Today... I am 40. This age that felt so ancient in the days of my youth. This age that feels so young now that I am standing here. Hurricane [...]

I was a little disappointed that our timeline was not going to leave room to head south of Edinburgh to see the "Four Border Abbeys" [Kelso Abbey, Melrose Abbey, Dryburgh Abbey, and Jedburgh [...]

Back to School

August 23, 2017January 24, 2021by Bedlam & Daisies16 Comments on Back to School

Back to School. Today was back to school day for my teenagers. It's always such a bittersweet day for me. On one hand, I'm happy to get back into a routine...and have some silence. On the other, it marks a moment in time of being one step closer to having my little birds fly from [...]

The Face Behind the Words

Hey there. I'm Amy.
I'm a wife and a mother of three young adults.
In my earlier years of motherhood, I helped my children pursue their passions. Now I've started focusing on discovering some of my own passions. Travel and photography finding their way to the top. At Bedlam & Daisies, I seek to share with you the beauty that I find in the midst of chaos. I hope you'll come along on this journey of discovery with me.
